VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF) Software Subscription and Services

Background
The Maricopa Community Colleges, comprising ten colleges and various educational centers, aim to provide educational excellence to the citizens of Maricopa County. As one of the largest higher education systems in the U.S., it serves over 200,000 students annually and is a key resource for job training and workforce development. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) seeks competitive bids for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF) software subscription licenses and professional services to enhance their IT infrastructure.

Work Details
The contract involves providing either VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) or VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF) software subscription licenses along with comprehensive professional services. Bidders may propose on one or both options, but only one will be awarded. Each bid must include:

- A complete, turn-key solution with all required software subscriptions for a three-year term.
- Associated services including installation, configuration, training, documentation, testing, and production activation.
- No hardware procurement is included; all deliverables are software licenses and support.

Specific requirements include:

1. **Option 1 - VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)**:
- Full SDDC stack including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, SDDC Manager.
- Licensing for 6,048 CPU cores with 24x7 support for 36 months.
- Professional services for implementation at up to ten locations.

2. **Option 2 - VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF)**:
- Core compute virtualization with vCenter management.
- Licensing for 6,048 CPU cores with 24x7 support for 36 months.
- Professional services similar to VCF implementation requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract is set to commence on or before November 15, 2025, with a performance period extending through June 30, 2026 for implementation activities.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the Maricopa County Community College District in Arizona.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be authorized VMware/Broadcom partners for the proposed products and support. They are required to provide full manufacturer support during the entire three-year term. Bids must demonstrate recent relevant deployments of comparable scale and provide references upon request. Additionally, bidders must comply with insurance requirements including general liability and professional liability coverage.
