Description

Background
The City of Sierra Vista is soliciting proposals from qualified veterinarians to provide veterinary services in support of the City's Animal Control Office pet adoptions. The goal is to enhance the adoption process by ensuring that animals are healthy and ready for adoption. The City is interested in three options for service:
1) Providing veterinary services for animals brought to the clinic by the Animal Control Office,
2) Offering on-site surgical services at the new animal surgical center located at the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center,
3) Any additional proposals that veterinarians may wish to submit.

Work Details
Veterinarians can propose on one or more of the following scopes:
1) Provide veterinary services at their clinic for animals delivered by Sierra Vista animal control staff prior to adoption;
2) Provide part-time surgical services at the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center, located at 6799 E. Highway 90, Sierra Vista, AZ;
3) Submit any additional proposals not specifically requested. The successful proposer must have been in business providing these services for a minimum of three years and must complete a Veterinarian's Response Form as part of their proposal.

Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for one year with the possibility of up to four annual extensions upon mutual agreement. The initial term will begin upon execution of the contract until June 30, 2027, with potential extensions extending through June 30, 2031.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed primarily at the veterinarian's clinic and at the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center located at 6799 E. Highway 90, Sierra Vista, AZ.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must obtain and maintain insurance coverage as specified in the RFP, including Comprehensive General Liability Insurance and Professional Liability Insurance with minimum limits of $2 million. Additionally, bidders must provide evidence of compliance with insurance requirements and possess current licenses to perform veterinary services.
