Turf, Sod and Seed

Background
The City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is seeking qualified Offerors to submit bids for turfgrass, sod, and seed. This solicitation aims to secure experienced service providers to supply these products across various sports facilities and recreational areas.

The Parks and Recreation Department's mission is to build healthy communities through parks, programs, and partnerships.

Work Details
The Contractor will provide turfgrass, sod, and seed as specified in purchase orders issued by the City. Responsibilities include: delivering products to designated locations, obtaining signatures on Proof of Delivery forms, removing and replacing non-compliant products, ensuring sod is cut with a uniform soil thickness of 0.60 inches (15 mm), shipping sod within 24 hours of harvesting, cleaning job sites post-installation, and ensuring all areas are level before acceptance.

The estimated annual quantities for various types of sod include:
- Midiron (10,000 sq ft)
- Tifway (20,000 sq ft)
- Tifgreen (20,000 sq ft)
- TifGrand (10,000 sq ft)
- Palmetto (10,000 sq ft)
- TifTuf (30,000 sq ft)
- Tahoma (30,000 sq ft)
- TifEagle (10,000 sq ft)
- Stolons - All Varieties (300 bushels per acre for 10 acres).

Deliveries must be coordinated with the City and will occur within 14 days for standard orders or within 3 days for emergency orders.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on January 1, 2025, for a term of five years.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at various locations including Cave Creek Golf Course, Palo Verde Golf Course, Encanto 18 Golf Course, Encanto - 9 Hole Executive Course, and Aguila - 18 Hole Championship Course in Phoenix and Laveen, Arizona.
