Turf Removal (Call for Bids)

Background
The Town of Gilbert, Arizona, is seeking bids for a project titled 'Turf Removal' under Project Number PR1347 and Contract Number 325000371. The project aims to enhance public parks by removing existing Bermuda grass turf and replacing it with more sustainable landscaping solutions. This initiative is part of the Town's commitment to water conservation and is funded through the Water Conservation Grant Fund Agreement and federal Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF). The selected contractor will need to comply with various grant requirements, including adherence to the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) funding requirements.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Eradication of existing Bermuda grass turf areas at five locations: Cosmo Park, Crossroads Park, Freestone Park, Cactus Yards, and Water Ranch (Riparian).
2. Installation of new ramadas and fabric shade structures.
3. Construction of new concrete sidewalks.
4. Application of new decomposed granite and plant material.
5. Implementation of drip irrigation improvements.
6. Removal of existing concrete headers and installation of new ones.
7. Installation of a new roller compacted decomposed granite trail system along with other incidental work as required.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed, invoiced, paid, and reported to the grant agency by June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will take place at five designated parks within the Town of Gilbert, Arizona.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate knowledge and expertise in compliance with the Uniform Guidance as required by federal funding regulations. The project encourages participation from minority-owned and women-owned business enterprises.
