Solar Pathway Lighting Fixtures

The City of Tempe is seeking proposals for the supply of solar pathway lighting fixtures that can be side-mounted to existing 16-foot light poles. The contract will cover an initial estimated purchase of 60 fixtures, with the possibility of additional purchases as required. The goal is to acquire fixtures that deliver reliable, sustainable illumination and improve both the security and aesthetics of the city's pathways. This contract is being solicited by the City of Tempe in response to repeated incidents of electrical wiring theft from pathway lights along the Crosscut Canal Multi-Use Path. By replacing the current fixtures with solar-powered alternatives, the City intends to eliminate the need for rewiring existing light poles and to mitigate future theft risks.
