Background
The City of Glendale is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide technical recruiting and staffing services. The goal is to establish a group of firms capable of supplying qualified candidates for various information technology positions on an as-needed basis.
The Innovation & Technology (IT) group supports over 2,100 users across 29 locations, responsible for service desk, telecommunications, application support, GIS, BI report development, database management, server and network support.
Work Details
The contractor must specialize in information technology staffing services including temporary placements. Responsibilities include:
- Validating candidates' technical competency through proven testing and screening procedures;
- Conducting criminal background checks and behavioral screenings;
- Performing reference checks;
- Maintaining a sufficient pool of qualified IT candidates;
- Providing a single point of contact for service management;
- Ensuring candidates adhere to the City's technical policies;
- Offering a placement guarantee for all recruited candidates.
Recruitment may include positions such as IT Project Manager, Database Administrator, Service Desk Technician, Network Engineer, Systems Analyst, Security Engineer, Cloud Architect, Software Engineer – AI/ML among others. The hiring process involves identifying candidates based on job descriptions provided by the City and conducting interviews as necessary. Recruitment fees are structured so that the City does not pay until 30 days after a candidate's start date and requires assistance in finding replacements at no cost if the original candidate leaves within 60 days.
