Pw-26-013 Solar Parking Shade Canopy

Background
The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community is issuing this solicitation as part of its 'Go Green Initiative: Greenhouse Gas Reduction Measures Project,' funded by a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Climate Pollution Reduction Implementation grant.
The project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through various measures, including the installation of solar photovoltaic parking canopies to generate an estimated 616,213 kilowatt-hours annually and combat the urban heat island effect.

Work Details
The contractor will provide design-build services for the installation of solar photovoltaic parking canopies at the Two Waters Administrative Complex, North Parking lot, located at 10040 E Osborn Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85256.
The project scope includes:
- Installation of shade canopies and photovoltaic systems for a portion of the existing 392 parking stalls (approximately 4.8 acres).
- Canopy lighting and modifications to existing pole-mounted lighting as required.
- Landscape and irrigation modifications to accommodate new structures.
- Parking lot repairs, re-striping, and signage updates as necessary.
- New electrical service or connections to the existing Justice Facility Building for solar power utilization.
The successful Design Build Team will be responsible for complete design and implementation, including permitting and compliance with SRPMIC Community Development Department requirements.

Period of Performance
The overall grant timeline is five years from December 1, 2024, to November 30, 2029, with project completion anticipated no later than August 2027.

Place of Performance
Two Waters Administrative Complex, North Parking lot at 10040 E Osborn Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85256.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with procurement policies of the Community and all EPA Grant restrictions including Buy America and Build America (BABA) requirements. Contractors must also provide proof of insurance covering general liability and professional liability as specified in the solicitation.
