Principal Leadership Academy

Background
The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) is a service organization committed to raising educational outcomes and empowering parents. The agency is soliciting proposals for the Effective Teachers and Leaders professional development program, which provides critical support for educational leaders, specifically focusing on principal mentoring and coaching. This initiative aims to retain effective school leaders and enhance student achievement through the Principals’ Leadership Academy (PLA).

Work Details
The contractor will provide coaching and mentoring services to principals as part of the PLA. The services include:
- Conducting six full-day sessions on topics such as Relationships & Building Trust, Climate & Culture, Feedback & Conferencing, Hiring Effective Staff, Strategic Thinking & Time Management, and Vision Planning & Implementation.
- Individual two-hour coaching sessions post each training session with deadlines for coaching notes.
- One-hour online meetings with ADE throughout the academic year.
- Attendance at a Pre-Program Launch meeting and Principal Academy meetings as scheduled by ADE.
- Submission of reports after each coaching session detailing topics discussed and recommended action steps.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and will remain in effect for one year, with potential extensions up to five years at the discretion of ADE.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed primarily within Arizona, specifically at locations determined by ADE for the Principal Leadership Academy sessions.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must have experience as a principal at a charter or district school. They are required to provide proof of liability insurance during the program's term. Additionally, contractors must comply with all federal immigration laws and regulations relating to employees.
