Background
Arizona State University (ASU) is seeking Learning Tool Development services involving development, integration, customization, administration, maintenance, and cloud hosting for authoring-capable learning technologies that use open source code and/or artificial intelligence. The university seeks suppliers with expertise in supporting a range of learning technologies and the ability to tailor and enhance existing open-source tools.

Work Details
The services required include the development, integration, customization, administration, maintenance, and cloud hosting for authoring-capable learning technologies using open source code and/or artificial intelligence. This involves various learning technologies such as Learning Management Systems, Open edX, chat/messaging applications, tools for enriching online learning assessment (e.g. H5P, Webwork), and functionality to improve ASU’s existing platforms or courses. Additionally, the solicitation requires suppliers to provide specific services such as open source code installation/standup of learning technology, product engineering including proficiency in frontend technologies like VueJS and LTI development using LTIJs, branding services complying with ASU Enterprise Brand and Marketing Guide, support based on Service Level Agreement (SLA) including 24/7 monitoring of application and cloud infrastructure with notification triggers, learning and data services capturing various metrics and data standards/protocols supported (LTI, Caliper, xAPI), custom functionality integration with cloud platforms other than AWS and Google Cloud Services, software development life-cycle procedures including version control and continuous integration/deployment strategies for cloud hosted environments.
