Main Tanks Transmission Main Phase 2B

Background
The City of Kingman is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the Main Tanks Transmission Main Phase 2B project. The goal of this contract is to obtain construction services for the installation of a water transmission main, which is critical for enhancing the city's water infrastructure.

The project aims to improve water delivery and management within the city, aligning with the agency's mission to provide reliable municipal services.

Work Details
The project involves the installation of a 24-inch ductile iron water transmission main, including associated valves and appurtenances. Specific tasks include:
- Sawcutting and removing existing asphalt (1,147 SY for Bid Alternative No. 1; 581 SY for Bid Alternative No. 2).
- Installing asphalt pavement per City of Kingman standard detail (1,147 SY for Bid Alternative No. 1; 581 SY for Bid Alternative No. 2).
- Constructing a thickened edge type A per MAG standard detail (1,039 LF for Bid Alternative No. 1; 255 LF for Bid Alternative No. 2).
- Installing a 24-inch DIP Class 250 water line trench and backfill (5,978 LF for Bid Alternative No. 1; 4,976 LF for Bid Alternative No. 2).
- Installing three butterfly valves with side-mounted vertical operating nuts (3 EA for Bid Alternative No. 1; 2 EA for Bid Alternative No. 2).

Additional tasks include traffic control, construction water and dust control, materials testing QA/QC, mobilization, and hard dig considerations.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within a period of 180 days from the start date after bid award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Kingman, Arizona, specifically along the designated segments of the transmission main as outlined in the bid alternatives.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have current inventory stock or an affirmed delivery of stock within specified timeframes. They are required to submit a City Vendor Application and IRS W-9 Form to the City's Finance Department. Additionally, bidders must possess an Arizona ROC license and a City of Kingman business license.
