Firewall Network Equipment for e-Rate Funding Year 2025-26

Background
The Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) is seeking to enhance its network security capabilities through the procurement of Category 2 firewall equipment and associated subscription licensing. This initiative is part of their application for federal E-Rate funding for the fiscal year 2025/2026, which runs from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. The district has experienced a significant increase in network traffic due to a student 1-to-1 program providing mobile devices to students, teachers, and administrators.

The goal of this contract is to upgrade and expand the existing firewall capabilities to ensure robust security for current and future network traffic.

Work Details
The contract involves the purchase of Category 2 firewall equipment along with necessary subscription licensing. The specific requirements include:
- No installation services are required as part of this solicitation.
- Equipment must support an upgrade to WAN capabilities for enhanced growth up to 50GB.
- Offerors must provide details regarding extended product warranties and system assurance in their proposals.
- Compliance with all manufacturer requirements is mandatory.
- Offerors must include their E-Rate SPIN (Service Provider Identification Number), FCC Registration Number, and evidence of green light status.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed as soon as funding becomes available, no later than July 1, 2025. All invoicing must be completed by June 30, 2026.

The contract will be performed at various locations within the Tucson Unified School District in Tucson, Arizona.
