Background
The City of Avondale is seeking quotes for qualified vendors to conduct environmental inspection and risk assessment at various properties within the city. The purpose of the assessment is to identify the presence of environmental hazards inside and outside the residence, including asbestos bulk sampling, post-testing of containment, mold sampling, indoor air testing, and radon sampling. The contract may automatically renew for up to four successive one-year terms.
Work Details
The contractor is required to conduct environmental inspection and risk assessment at various properties within the City of Avondale. This includes on-site inspection, evaluation, sample collection, and quantification of suspect asbestos-containing material, mold-impacted material, air quality testing, and radon sample collection.
The contractor must also comply with National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) regulations and provide a report indicating findings within three weeks of initial sampling. Additionally, monitoring of asbestos and/or mold abatement and/or control measures is required on an as-needed basis.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed on an indefinite quantity and indefinite delivery basis when the City chooses to move forward with a pending project and proper authorization and documentation have been approved. The City does not guarantee any minimum or maximum amount of services will be requested under this agreement.
