Electrical Safety Training

Background
The City of Phoenix, the sixth largest city in the U.S. by population, is seeking sealed offers for Electrical Safety Training services through its Human Resources Department, Safety Division. The goal of this five-year contract, commencing on or about June 15, 2025, is to ensure that all City employees receive necessary training to work safely around electrical hazards, thereby reducing workplace injuries. The training must comply with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.

Work Details
The contractor will provide electrical safety training on an as-needed basis for employees working on or near electrical hazards. The training includes:

1. An 8-hour course covering current NFPA70E documentation and field application for medium voltage and 600 volt installations and maintenance.
2. A 4-hour course covering current NFPA70E documentation for 600 volt installations and maintenance.

Each session must accommodate a minimum of 15 students and a maximum of 35 students. Training sessions will cover topics such as Electrically Safe Work Practices, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Selection, Arc Flash Boundaries, Equipment Assessment, and any changes required by the current edition of NFPA 70E. Instructors must have at least five years of documented NFPA 70E training experience and arrive at least twenty minutes before class to set up. All necessary training materials will be provided for each student, who will also receive a course completion certificate upon successful completion.

Period of Performance
The contract is set to commence on or about June 15, 2025, and will last for five years.

Place of Performance
All training sessions will be conducted at various City of Phoenix locations as determined at the time services are requested.
