El Mirage Road Traffic Calming - Well Street to End Street

Background
The City of El Mirage is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the El Mirage Road Traffic Calming project. This project aims to enhance road safety by reducing speeding through the installation of traffic calming measures. It is part of the city's ongoing efforts to improve public safety and traffic management on local roads.

Work Details
The project includes the installation of one speed cushion and associated signage and striping on El Mirage Road between Well Street and End Street. Specific tasks include:
- Milling existing asphalt as per City Detail A-1 and A-2.
- Installation of two 12'x17.25' speed cushions and one 12'x6.5' cushion according to City Detail A-1 and A-2.
- Placement of crack seal around all sides of the cushions.
- Installation of all required signage, posts, and foundations as per City Details EM-132-1 & EM-132-2.
- Temporary striping with water-based paint followed by thermoplastic striping 30 days later as per City Detail A-3.
The contractor must ensure that all work complies with standards set by the City of El Mirage (COEM) and the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and will be completed within a specified timeframe detailed in the final contract documents.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on El Mirage Road between Well Street and End Street in El Mirage, Arizona.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including maintaining current licenses and permits required for their business operations. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a list of subcontractors for any contracts anticipated to exceed 5% of the total bid price.
