Dobbins Road: SR202L to 27th Avenue-Engineering Services - ST85100453

Background
The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified consultant team to provide Engineering Services for the Dobbins Road widening project from State Route 202 Loop to 27th Avenue. Services will include preliminary and final design. The estimated construction cost is $36.5 million.

Work Details
The project will widen Dobbins Road roadway to cross section Z-C 'scenic corridor' configuration - four through travel lanes. The work will include a 74-foot width of pavement and a multi-use path with active transportation opportunities.
Infrastructure work will include a storm drain, traffic signal, landscaping and SRP power, and irrigation relocation are anticipated.
The scope of work will include:
- Roadway widening
- Multi-use path (MUP) and active transportation features
- Traffic analysis and design including signal or roundabout design, signing, striping, and streetlights
- Drainage analysis and design
- Geotechnical analysis and recommendations
- Transit route design
- Utility relocations
- Landscape architecture
- Aesthetics/art
- Right-of-way determination
- Public outreach
- Environmental coordination
and other tasks as determined by the project needs.

Period of Performance
The project is currently scheduled to be advertised in May. A pre-submittal meeting will be held on June 28, 2024. The SOQs are due on July 19, 2024.

The geographic location for the contract performance is Dobbins Road from State Route 202 Loop to 27th Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona.
