Background
The Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide performance-based cooling tower and closed-loop chemical treatment programs for multiple campuses throughout Maricopa County, Arizona.
The goal of this RFP is to establish a pool of qualified vendors who can develop, implement, and document water quality control parameters that meet MCCCD's performance requirements while ensuring environmentally responsible operation of cooling tower systems.
Work Details
The selected vendor(s) will provide comprehensive chemical treatment and support services for cooling tower and closed-loop hydronic systems, including:
- Chemical treatment programs for scale, corrosion, fouling, and microbiological control.
- Supply of chemicals, site-specific testing equipment, and monitoring devices.
- Water chemistry control and monitoring using existing MCCCD-standard controllers.
- Routine service visits and water analysis.
- Corrosion coupon installation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Microbiological control programs compliant with ASHRAE Standard 188.
- Technical support, reporting, and corrective action plans.
- Emergency response as required.
- Treatment programs for closed chilled water (CHW), closed hydronic hot water (HHW), and closed-loop condenser water systems.
The vendor must ensure compliance with specific water quality limits defined in the RFP.
Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for an initial term of one year with the potential for up to four additional one-year extensions based on satisfactory performance, continuing need, and mutual agreement.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various campuses and facilities within the Maricopa County Community College District in Arizona.
