Background
The City of Mesa is seeking a qualified vendor to provide Cradlepoint installation services. The project involves upgrading existing Cradlepoint 1700 routers and antennas in approximately ninety-five (95) City vehicles to the newer Cradlepoint 1900 model with an 11-in-1 antenna.
This initiative is part of the City's efforts to enhance its communication systems within its fleet, specifically for the Mesa Fire & Medical Department (MFMD). The work will be conducted at the MFMD fleet garage located at 708 W Baseline Drive, Mesa, AZ.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. Removing existing Cradlepoint 1700 routers and antennas from vehicles.
2. Installing new Cradlepoint 1900 routers and 11-in-1 antennas, ensuring secure power connections and proper functioning of the new system.
3. Patching roof holes where antennas were removed, ensuring weatherproofing.
4. Providing all necessary tools and parts for installation, including screws, cable retainers, zip ties, roof plugs, sealant, and adhesive remover.
5. Conducting inspections and testing of the installed systems in coordination with MFMD Technical Services.
6. Deliverables include successful installation of the new equipment and return of old hardware to MFMD.
Period of Performance
The contract will cover a one (1) year term with options for two six-month renewals based on mutual agreement.
