Background
The City of Phoenix is issuing this solicitation for Commercial Locksmith Products and Services to ensure the security and maintenance of its facilities. Work Details
The contractor will provide a range of locksmith services including installation, upgrades, replacements, repairs, emergency services, and administrative services for locking systems at various City facilities. Specific tasks include:
- Cutting keys by code to manufacturer specifications.
- Rekeying locks in good working condition.
- Replacing locking mechanisms with equivalent or better quality.
- Key duplication and impressioning.
- Installation and repair of commercial-grade doors and hardware including hinges, panic bars, door closers, electronic locks (e.g., Medeco XT), keypads, and ADA-compliant hardware.
- Emergency service response within specified timeframes based on urgency:
- Routine Service within 5 business days;
- Urgent Service within 1 business day;
- Emergency Service within 2 hours.
All hardware must be new and sourced from reputable manufacturers meeting commercial-grade specifications.
Period of Performance
The term of this Agreement will be for five years starting from the Commencement Date, which is September 1, 2027 or the date approved by the Phoenix City Council.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area as required by the City.
Bidder Requirements
Offerors must be licensed locksmiths in Arizona with a minimum of five years of experience. They must demonstrate capability in working with government facilities and high-security lock systems. Additionally, Offerors are required to submit a letter from a bank or financial institution evidencing their ability to provide performance guarantees if awarded the contract.
