Bus Wash System Maintenance and Repair Services

Background
The City of Tempe is issuing this Request for Quotation (RFQ) to establish a term contract for maintenance and repair services for two automatic bus wash systems and related components at the East Valley Bus Operations and Maintenance facility (EVBOM).

The contract aims to ensure the operational efficiency and cleanliness of the transit fleet, which is crucial for the City's marketing efforts.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, etc., necessary for maintenance and repair services of two N/S Corporation Model 5M-420 automatic bus wash systems. Services include:
1. Inspection, diagnostic, and troubleshooting services as needed.
2. Scheduled maintenance services including:
- Preventative maintenance as per manufacturer specifications.
- Daily checks on guide rails, seals, oil levels in gear reducers.
- Monthly lubrication tasks such as inspecting water lines and tightening bolts.
- Yearly lubrication tasks including lubricating motors of various pumps.
3. Repairs based on inspections or requests from the City.
4. Provision of bus wash soap and calibration of soap pumps.
5. Maintenance of reverse osmosis water rinse equipment to ensure optimal operation.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and continue for one year, with four one-year renewal options available.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the East Valley Bus Operations and Maintenance facility located at 2050 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ 85281.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must provide proof of insurance covering general liability, worker's compensation, and automobile liability. They must also conduct background checks on employees who will work at the EVBOM facility.

The contractor must comply with all applicable federal standards, OSHA regulations, state and local codes regarding safety and maintenance practices.
