Background
The Maricopa Community College District (District) seeks to establish a contractual relationship with firms or individuals for technical registrant and professional consulting services on an as-needed basis. This initiative is driven by ongoing major building construction and renovation programs, as well as smaller projects related to remodeling, maintenance, and planning. The District aims to select sources for architectural/engineering services without the obligation to utilize them throughout the contract period, allowing flexibility in service selection based on evolving needs.
Work Details
The services required under this contract include but are not limited to:
1. Design, Construction Document and Construction Administration Services:
- Architectural & Academic Programming/Comprehensive Planning
- Structural Engineering, Forensics Engineering and Analysis
- Civil Engineering
- Landscape Architecture
- Mechanical Engineering (including Plumbing and HVAC)
- Electrical Engineering
- Noise, Vibration and Acoustical Engineering
- Audio/Visual Systems Design
- Performing Arts Design (including Stage Rigging, Lighting, Audio Systems, Fall Protection)
- Security System & Access Control Design
2. Building Related Design, Support or Analysis Services:
- Building Code Review and Compliance
- Construction Phase Inspections (MEP, Structural, Life Safety)
- Construction Cost Estimating
- Interior Design including FF&E Assistance
- Energy Conservation/Use Analysis Engineering
- Roofing and Moisture Intrusion Consulting
- Vertical Transportation Consulting (Elevators)
- Air/Water Test and Balancing Services
3. Additional services may include Asbestos/Hazardous Material Abatement, Geotechnical Engineering, Materials Testing, Building Systems Commissioning. Proposing firms can submit proposals for all or specific areas of expertise.
Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on July 1, 2026, with an initial term of one year and the potential for up to four additional one-year extensions for a total possible duration of five years.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the Maricopa Community College District in Arizona.
Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate relevant experience in educational settings. Professional registration is required where applicable. Firms are encouraged to provide evidence of specialized expertise in areas such as LEED certification or historic preservation.
