2025 Casa Grande Animal Care & Adoption Center Wall Mural Art Project

Background
The Casa Grande Arts & Culture Commission is initiating the 2025 Casa Grande Animal Care & Adoption Center Wall Mural Art Project to enhance community aesthetics by adding art to city buildings. The project aims to celebrate the bond between humans and animals while promoting pet adoption. The selected artist will be awarded up to $6,500 for their work.

Work Details
The contract involves painting a mural on the west wall of the Casa Grande Animal Care & Adoption Center located at 202 E. First Avenue, Casa Grande, AZ.

The mural will cover a concrete block wall with approximate dimensions of 25' 2" wide x 11' 7" high (south of the fence) and 53' 3" wide x 16' high (north of the fence).

Artists are required to create a visually compelling design that reflects a pet-friendly community and includes elements such as cats, dogs, birds, and local landmarks. Artists must clean, prime, and prepare the wall before applying artwork and provide maintenance instructions upon completion. Each artist may submit up to three proposals.

Period of Performance
The project timeline includes proposal submissions by June 16, 2025; selection by August 5, 2025; project commencement on August 28, 2025; completion by December 12, 2025; and a ribbon-cutting ceremony tentatively scheduled for December 13, 2025.

The mural will be painted at the Casa Grande Animal Care & Adoption Center located at 202 E. First Avenue, Casa Grande, AZ.

Bidder Requirements
Artists must be over the age of 18 and reside in Pinal County, Arizona. They must submit a completed Project Proposal Application with proposed artwork renderings in jpeg format. Electronic submissions are not accepted.
