Supply contract for furnishing Pretreated Rock Salt, Rock Salt, & Calcium Chloride for the period of October 1, 2025 through April 30, 2026.

Background
The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) is issuing a supply contract for Snow and Ice Control Materials, specifically for the provision of Pretreated Rock Salt, Bulk Rock Salt, and Calcium Chloride. The contract aims to support ARDOT's mission of maintaining safe road conditions during winter weather by ensuring the availability of essential materials for ice and snow removal.

Work Details
The contractor will supply the following materials:

1. **Pretreated Rock Salt** - Delivered in 50 lb bags on pallets, pretreated with BEET 55-C or equivalent. Each pallet will contain 40 bags (totaling 2,000 lbs). Delivery must be made by flatbed truck.

2. **Bulk Rock Salt** - Delivered prewetted with BEET 55-C or equivalent by end dump truck or auger as necessary, placed in storage bins or on the ground as directed. Bottom dump truck delivery is not acceptable.

3. **Calcium Chloride** - Bagged (Type 2) for use in dust laying and ice removal, delivered in moisture-proof bags containing not more than 80 lbs each. The calcium chloride must conform to specific chemical composition and grading requirements outlined in the specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from October 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
Statewide delivery across Arkansas as specified in individual orders from ARDOT.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Bid Bond of $500 at the time of bid opening and a Performance Bond of $2,000 upon award. They are required to submit certifications regarding non-employment of illegal immigrants and compliance with boycott restrictions against Israel. Additionally, bidders must complete an Eligible Bidder Certification and Disclosure Form.
