Contingency Contract for Disaster Debris Removal and Disposal Services.

Background
The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Statewide Contingency Contract for Disaster Debris Removal and Disposal Services. This contract aims to facilitate the removal and disposal of storm debris, including vegetative, construction, demolition debris, and other materials resulting from severe weather events such as tornadoes. The goal is to ensure compliance with FEMA guidelines for debris management while providing efficient service across the state.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive debris removal and disposal services, which include but are not limited to:

1. Removal of storm debris from public rights-of-way and designated areas.
2. Management of Temporary Debris Storage & Reduction (TDSR) sites, including site preparation, maintenance, and reclamation.
3. Volume reduction of debris through grinding, chipping, or burning as necessary.
4. Safe disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with applicable regulations.
5. Documentation and inspection processes to ensure compliance with FEMA guidelines.
6. Coordination with ARDOT for traffic control and communication during operations.
7. The contractor must provide all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, and other necessary services to execute the contract effectively.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence immediately upon notice to proceed and must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed statewide across Arkansas in designated public rights-of-way and approved disposal sites.
