Temporary Staffing Services

Background
The City of Madison, Alabama, is seeking bids for temporary staffing services to support various city departments on an as-needed basis. The goal of this contract is to provide a reliable source of temporary personnel to meet fluctuating service demands while adhering to all applicable employment laws and regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
- Recruitment and sourcing
- Screening and interviewing
- Skills testing
- Reference checks
- Drug testing through a City-approved vendor
- Background investigations through an approved vendor
- Payroll processing

Temporary personnel requests must be filled within 48 hours. The contractor must pre-screen candidates to ensure they meet job requirements. All temporary employees must undergo drug testing and background checks before placement. The contractor is responsible for all employment-related claims and costs associated with payroll taxes, workers’ compensation insurance, unemployment insurance, employee benefits, and compliance with wage laws.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for twelve (12) months from the award date, with options to extend for two additional one-year periods, not exceeding three years total.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed in various departments within the City of Madison, Alabama.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least three years of experience providing temporary staffing services for similar clients. They must be properly licensed to conduct business in Alabama and maintain sufficient staffing resources. Bidders are required to comply with all local, state, and federal employment laws.
