Background
The Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) is seeking to develop and deploy a comprehensive School Safety Platform for all K-12 public schools within the State of Alabama. The primary objective is to ensure that Emergency Operation Plans (EOPs) are accessible to all faculty members and sworn officers statewide, thereby enhancing school safety. The platform aims to create a positive school climate that supports effective emergency response and recovery.

Work Details
The supplier will provide a comprehensive School Safety Platform that includes the following components:
- **Software Platform**: A web-based application for managing individualized emergency operations plans.
- **Software Module**: A flexible module for creating immersive virtual walkthroughs integrated with live surveillance feeds.
- **Emergency Response Tools**: Panic buttons, mass notification systems, and communication tools for rapid response.
- **Visitor Management**: Systems for visitor entry management, including registration, tracking, and ID verification.
- **Threat Assessment Features**: Tools for identifying potential threats and conducting behavioral assessments.
- **Access Control Systems**: Keycard access, biometric scanners, and mobile access tools for securing premises.
- **Video Surveillance Capabilities**: Real-time monitoring and recording of video feeds.
- **Communication Channels**: Efficient communication systems among staff, first responders, and parents during emergencies.
- **Data Security Measures**: Comprehensive security protocols to protect data privacy.
- **Data Analysis Tools**: Reporting functionalities to identify trends and improve safety protocols.

Additionally, the supplier must provide training on the platform's use and ongoing technical support.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed for an initial period of up to two years with possible renewals not exceeding three additional years, contingent upon state approvals and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the State of Alabama, specifically targeting K-12 public schools across various districts.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be currently registered with the Alabama Department of Finance as a State Supplier and provide their supplier number. They are required to complete an affidavit for business entity/employer/supplier and verify enrollment in E-Verify as per Alabama law.
