Retaining Wall - Toyota Field West Parking Lot

Background
The City of Madison, Alabama, is seeking contractors to submit sealed bids for the Retaining Wall project at Toyota Field West Parking Lot. This project aims to address erosion issues and enhance stormwater management in the area. The City is committed to maintaining public infrastructure and ensuring safety in municipal facilities.

Work Details
The project involves the installation of approximately 660 linear feet (LF) of segmental block retaining wall along an eroded sloped embankment adjacent to the westernmost parking lot at Toyota Field. Additionally, it includes:
- Installation of 130 LF of 18-inch Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP)
- Construction of three new open throat inlets
- Regrading the top side of the wall to stabilize and reestablish the slope
- Installation of a 5-foot wide concrete flume to direct stormwater to newly installed inlets at both ends of the wall
- A small amount of asphalt work associated with the new storm installation.

The total disturbed area is expected to be less than one acre, which will be sodded upon completion. All work must comply with general and technical specifications outlined in the Invitation to Bid packet.

Period of Performance
The project must be completed within 90 calendar days from the issuance of a notice to proceed.

The work will be performed at Toyota Field West Parking Lot, located in Madison, Alabama.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be properly licensed general contractors under Alabama law. A copy of the contractor's license must accompany the bid submission. Additionally, bidders are required to provide proof of enrollment in the E-Verify program and submit an Immigration Law Compliance Statement. Bids must include a bid bond or cashier's check as a bid guaranty, and all insurance requirements must be acknowledged.
