MANDATORY Pre-Bid: BDS Skybox Improvements

Background
The University of Alabama is issuing a contract for the BDS Skybox Improvements project, which involves the interior renovation of the East side skybox. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facilities within the university's sports complex, aligning with the institution's mission to provide quality amenities for its athletic programs.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the interior renovation of the East side skybox. General Contractors are required to prequalify before bidding or performing work on this project. Preliminary drawings and specifications will be available for public inspection starting April 21, 2025. Final plans will be available from April 28, 2025. Bidders must submit a prequalification packet by April 29, 2025, at 5:00 PM. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on May 6, 2025, at 9:00 AM.

Period of Performance
The proposed schedule indicates that bids will be received until May 22, 2025, with construction expected to commence shortly thereafter.

Place of Performance
The work will take place at the University of Alabama's sports complex located at 405 Cahaba Circle, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.

Bidder Requirements
General Contractors must prequalify prior to bidding. Evidence of licensing as per Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama must be provided before bids are considered. Contractors not on UA’s Master List may request a waiver from prequalification if they have a successful track record on similar projects.
