Kosher Meals, ADOC Agency Contract

Background
The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) is seeking to establish a master agreement for kosher meal delivery services. The goal of this contract is to provide shelf-stable kosher meals to the correctional facilities in Alabama, ensuring compliance with dietary requirements for inmates. This solicitation specifically excludes frozen meals.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for delivering shelf-stable kosher meals as specified in the solicitation. Bidders must provide pricing for six line items related to the meals, along with a discount percentage for future orders.

The supplier must maintain sufficient inventory to fulfill orders within 30 days of receipt and ensure that deliveries are made during appropriate times as determined by the Warden of each facility. The supplier is also responsible for unloading products upon delivery and will incur costs for any storage or return freight charges due to non-compliance with product specifications.

There is no minimum order quantity, and the exact quantity of purchases is not guaranteed. The contract includes an option to extend for up to five additional 12-month periods under the same terms and conditions.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is set for 12 months, with options to extend for additional 12-month periods, contingent upon mutual agreement between the state and the vendor.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to various ADOC facilities across Alabama, with specific locations subject to change during the contract term.
