Howard Home - 5 Trane Heat Pumps

Background
The State of Alabama, through the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer, is seeking to procure services for the installation of 5 Trane Heat Pumps at the Colonel Robert Howard Alabama Veterans Home. The scope of work includes advising the customer upon arrival, reviewing the scope of service, obtaining necessary work permits, disconnecting and removing existing units, and installing new 1-Ton WSHPs with specific features. The contract will be governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.

Work Details
The work involves advising the customer upon arrival, reviewing the scope of service, obtaining necessary safe work permits, securing power to unit using proper lock out tag out procedures, recovering refrigerant in accordance with the clean air act of 1990, shutting off existing isolation valves, disconnecting electrical wiring and water piping from existing (5) WSHPs, removing and disposing of existing (5) units, installing new 1-Ton WSHPs with specific features such as Trane brand, model number GETE01272*09B0TOH01000C20290B, chassis only, R-410A refrigerant type, single stage cooling, vertical stack/chassis only, wall mounted, standard 5 year compressor warranty, reusing existing thermostats and hose kits.
The work also includes securing new (5) units in place, reconnecting electrical wiring and water piping to new (5) WSHPs, re-opening isolation valves, leak checking all new piping and connections, starting system and verifying proper operation as well as cleaning work area and checking out with customer.
