Fw - Fencing Replacement - Fwfta - Db

Background
The contract is issued by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) for the replacement of fencing at the Forever Wild Field Trial Area (FWFTA) located in Greensboro, Alabama. The goal of this contract is to install new agricultural/cattle fencing to enhance the property and ensure its proper management.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for installing 13,200 feet of agricultural/cattle fence at the FWFTA. The specifications for the fence include:

- 6" net wire (9-49-6 Staytuff or equivalent)
- High tensile net wire fence on 5"x8' treated wood fence posts placed on 20-foot centers
- 15.5-gauge barbwire on top and bottom
- Braces made from two 6"x10' treated wood fence posts with a 10' cross piece wrapped three times with high tensile wire
- Additional adjustments including a gate opening moved 30 feet off the roadway.

All work must be completed by September 30, 2025, and the price must cover all labor, materials, supplies, and equipment required for the project.

The work must be completed by September 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Forever Wild Field Trial Area located at 1132 County Rd 73, Greensboro, AL 36744.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess an Alabama General Contractor's License and provide a copy with their bid submission. They are also required to have a minimum liability insurance coverage of $2,000,000 with $1,000,000 per occurrence. Additionally, bidders must have workers' compensation insurance as per Alabama laws. Subcontracting any portion of the work requires express written consent from the Chief Procurement Officer.
