Franklin Co DHR HVAC unit #7

Background
This project is initiated by the Department of Human Resources for Franklin County, Alabama, aimed at replacing the existing HVAC unit #5 to improve system efficiency and maintain operational integrity. The agency emphasizes the importance of using Trane brand equipment for compatibility and preventative maintenance purposes.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the complete removal and replacement of the existing HVAC equipment, which includes a Trane 7.5-ton condensing unit split system and air handler. The recommended replacement units are: TWA09043AA Condenser (7.5T, R410A) and TWE09043AA Inside unit air handler (7.5T, R410A).

The scope includes upgrading refrigerant from R22 to R410A, replacing thermostats with programmable ones, managing supply and delivery of all HVAC equipment, ensuring proper sizing of refrigerant lines, performing leak checks, inspecting ductwork, verifying electrical compliance, providing equipment startup validations, and ensuring site safety and cleanliness throughout the project. The contractor must also handle the removal and disposal of old equipment and debris.

Period of Performance
The work is to be performed during regular work weeks (Monday to Friday) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no weekend or holiday work authorized. The timeline for project completion must be coordinated with the Director of DHR County office prior to start.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the DHR Franklin County office located at 737 Highway 48, Russellville, Alabama 35653.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have an active HVAC contractor's license and business license for the State of Alabama along with all necessary permits. They must hold sufficient general liability insurance and be qualified to perform services in Franklin County. Proof of current licenses and permits must be available for review during the project.
