Fann-HVAC Replacement

Background

Work Details
The contractor will provide services to replace a 7.5-ton Trane WSHP HVAC system with an 8-ton Climate Master R-454b water source heat pump system (460 volts, 3 phase).

The specific tasks include:
- Disconnecting electrical controls and drain lines;
- Disconnecting supply and return water lines and draining the system;
- Disconnecting duct work from the existing system;
- Removing and disposing of the old system and miscellaneous duct materials;
- Fabricating transitions to connect to the existing supply duct system;
- Fabricating an auxiliary drain pan with a safety switch;
- Modifying and reconnecting supply/return water lines including drain lines;
- Modifying and reconnecting electrical wiring and low voltage controls;
- Starting up the new system and verifying proper operation;
- Providing all labor and materials necessary to complete this project.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence after contract award, with specific timelines to be determined based on project scheduling requirements.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Floyd E. 'Tut' Fann State Veterans Home located at 2701 Meridian St, Huntsville, AL 35811.

Bidder Requirements
