The Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) is seeking to establish a contract for HVAC Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Repair Services across various DHR locations in Alabama. The goal of this contract is to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, which includes boilers and chillers where applicable. Work Details

- Annual tasks include checking freon levels and deep cleaning condenser coils.
- Water treatment testing for HVAC systems utilizing water in heating or cooling processes is required for specific county offices.
- All PM services must be performed by licensed technicians with appropriate certifications including EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue through the fiscal year 2026, with quarterly inspections scheduled throughout this period.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of Alabama with a refrigeration license certified by the Alabama Board of Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Contractors. Additionally, they must hold a State of Alabama Gasfitter plumber license and Master gasfitter certification for servicing gas-fired equipment. Technicians must have universal refrigeration certification from the EPA and maintain current certifications throughout the contract duration.
