Background
The Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) is seeking a contractor to provide HVAC filter replacement services across various county offices. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all HVAC systems are equipped with new, compliant filters to maintain air quality and system efficiency. This solicitation emphasizes the importance of site visits for accurate assessment and compliance with specifications.

Work Details
The contractor will perform a one-time service to replace all HVAC filters in designated DHR county offices, excluding boilers and chillers. The scope includes:
- Replacement of pleated filters and HEPA filters as per ASHRAE standards, ensuring that HEPA filters remove at least 99.97% of particles ≥ 0.3 microns.
- Provision of all necessary materials including new filters, labor, travel costs, and disposal of old filters.
- Installation must adhere to industry best practices, ensuring proper operation post-replacement.
- Documentation requirements include signing inspection forms and taking photos of installed filters for verification.
- Compliance with MERV rating minimum of 13 for pleated filters is mandatory.
- All work must be completed by qualified HVAC technicians with a minimum of 5 years experience.

Period of Performance
The contract work must be completed no later than May 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various DHR county office locations throughout Alabama as specified in the site visit schedule.
