Dept. Of Agriculture - Auburn Lab - Pipette Calibration Service

Background
The Alabama Department of Agriculture is seeking quotes for pipette calibration services for 213 pipettes across four Veterinarian Labs. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the pipettes used in these labs are accurately calibrated and maintained according to industry standards.

Work Details
The supplier must provide the following services:

(1) Document each pipette by serial number and ID number;
(2) Perform a Gravimetric Inspection on each pipette;
(3) Disassemble and perform a thorough cleaning;
(4) Adhere a calibration label on each pipette;
(5) Seal or O-ring replacement and/or lubricate piston according to manufacturer's requirements;
(6) Calibrate pipettes according to ISO 8655 tolerances;
(7) Provide certificates labeled pass/fail and remove failed pipettes from service;
(8) Provide 10% and 100% 'as left' and 'as found' readings at both 10% and 100%;
(9) Provide NIST traceable balance and thermometer calibration certificates;
(10) Record basic environmental conditions.

Any travel expenses must be included in the quoted price.

Period of Performance
Services must be completed by June 30, 2026.

(2) Mitchem Sparks Regional Diagnostic Laboratory, 1833 Industrial Blvd, Boaz, AL 35957;
(3) J.B Taylor Regional Veterinary Laboratory, 489 AL-203, Elba, AL 36323;
(4) Hinton Mitchem Poultry Regional Diagnostic Laboratory, 1001 Industrial Drive, Hanceville, AL 35077.

Bidder Requirements
Suppliers must be registered in Alabama Buys. They are required to submit responses electronically through Alabama Buys. Suppliers quoting alternate items must provide complete model/part numbers as well as descriptive/technical literature for evaluation.
