Conservation/Parks/Joe Wheeler- FY26 Pest Control Service

Background
The State of Alabama is seeking a contractor to provide monthly pest control services for Joe Wheeler State Park & Lodge, located at 4401 McLean Drive, Rogersville, AL 35652. The goal of this contract is to ensure a pest-free environment for the park and its facilities, which cater to guests year-round.

Work Details
The contractor will provide monthly pest control services using commercial-grade pesticides. The service will cover various pests including:
- Rats
- Mice
- Roaches
- Ants
- Silverfish
- Spiders (including web brushing)
- Fleas
- Ground beetles
- Springtails
- Crickets
- Centipedes
- Millipedes
- Sowbugs
- Pill bugs
- Earwigs
- Scorpions
- Flies

Specific service requirements include:
- Rodent stations must be placed on the exterior of buildings and monitored monthly.
- The vendor must be available for call-back services within 8 hours of notification of a problem, with no charge for these services.
- A detailed service report is required after each visit.
- Compliance with all regulations issued by the EPA, FDA, and USDA is mandatory.

The following structures will be serviced:
- Cottages (10 total) ranging from 800 sq ft to 1664 sq ft each.
- Main Lodge (40,324 sq ft) and 75 guest rooms (54,282 sq ft total).
- Various park facilities including a campground store (1736 sq ft), pro shop (7280 sq ft), marina store (7576 sq ft), staff houses, guard shack, day use entrance booth, and boat ramp bathrooms.
- Elk River Group Lodge (5670 sq ft) and multiple cabins ranging from 600 sq ft to 2940 sq ft.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Joe Wheeler State Park & Lodge located at 4401 McLean Drive, Rogersville, AL 35652. Additional locations include cabins in Town Creek and Athens.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be licensed pesticide applicators and insured. An aggregate insurance coverage of $200,000 with $100,000 per occurrence is required. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for August 27, 2025 at Joe Wheeler Lodge Lobby. Vendors must comply with all local regulations and provide an MSD sheet upon request.
