Colbert Co DHR/Lawn Service

Background
The Colbert County Department of Human Resources (DHR) is seeking quotes for lawn services for the fiscal year 2025. The contract aims to maintain the aesthetic and functional quality of the DHR facility located in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The goal is to ensure a well-kept lawn that meets the standards set by the DHR County office.

Work Details
The vendor will provide basic lawn services including:

1. Grass Cutting Service: Up to 20 cuts per fiscal year, with a schedule coordinated with the DHR County office. During the growing season (Spring and Summer), cutting may be required 2-3 times per month. Each cutting will include:
- Weed eating around shrub beds and cleaning cut areas without damaging shrubs.
- Trimming and spraying around fences, porches, and buildings.
- Edging along sidewalks, walkways, curbs, and parking lots.
- Removing grass/weeds from sidewalks and maintaining cleanliness in the parking lot perimeter.
- Blowing grass clippings and leaves from all surfaces.
- Fine mulching leaves on the lawn; any unmulched leaves must be removed.
- Removing trash and debris from under trees and property.

2. Shrub/Hedge Trimmings: Limited to two trims per year (one in Spring and one in Fall). Cuttings must be removed after each service. Coordination of shape and length of trim with DHR POC is required.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Colbert County DHR located at 3105 George Wallace Blvd, Muscle Shoals, Alabama 35661.
