Baldwin Co DHR Fire Sprinkler/Back Flow Preventer Inspection

Background
The Baldwin County Department of Human Resources (DHR) is seeking services for the inspection of fire sprinkler and backflow preventer systems. The goal of this contract is to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, specifically the NFPA 25 standard guide for testing and inspecting fire sprinkler systems.

The contract aims to maintain the integrity and functionality of these critical safety systems within the DHR Baldwin County Office located in Robertsdale, Alabama.

Work Details
The contractor will perform annual inspections of fire sprinkler and backflow preventer systems as per NFPA 25 standards. This includes:
- Conducting quarterly inspections of the fire sprinkler system when a backflow system is protecting it.
- Providing detailed inspection reports that include descriptions of service work, dates, deficiencies, and itemized lists of all sprinkler and backflow equipment.
- Confirming the type and number of systems during a mandatory site visit scheduled for July 18, 2024.
- The contractor must quantify the number of wet and dry systems as well as backflow systems during inspections. Previous reports indicated one wet system and zero dry systems at the Baldwin County DHR Office.
- Inspections must comply with all relevant national, state, city, county, and local codes.
- Technicians performing inspections must hold current NICET certification.
- The scope does not cover fire alarm system inspections or fire extinguisher inspections/repairs.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will begin upon award and will continue annually for the duration specified in the purchase order, with quarterly inspections required throughout each year.

Inspections will be conducted at the DHR Baldwin County Office located at 22259 Palmer Street, Robertsdale, AL 36567.
