Station 6-2 Training Complex Build-Out for Confined Space & Structural Simulation

Background
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the construction of the new Fire Station 6-2 Training Complex Build-Out located at 4568 South Knik-Goose Bay Road, Wasilla, Alaska.
The goal of this project is to create a fully operational training complex that simulates real-life catastrophic events, enhancing the training capabilities offered on-site.

Work Details
The project includes the following key components:
1. **Base Bid**: Construction of a Confined Space Tunnel Maze, featuring access towers and hatches for various training scenarios focused on confined space entry, navigation, and rescue operations.
2. **Bid Alternate One**: Addition of a Wracked Building designed with skewed floors, articulating walls, and adjustable roof panels to simulate unstable or collapsed building conditions.
3. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and supervision while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding waste disposal and safety standards.
4. The contractor is also responsible for daily site clean-up and securing the site until final project acceptance.

Period of Performance
The substantial completion date is set for October 30, 2026, with final completion by November 30, 2026, and contract closeout by December 30, 2026.

The work will be performed at the Fire Station 6-2 Training Complex located at 4568 South Knik-Goose Bay Road, Wasilla, Alaska.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with state of Alaska Statutes regarding business licenses and must not be debarred or suspended from doing business with the Matanuska-Susitna Borough.
Additionally, bidders are required to ensure that at least 10% of all labor hours worked on this contract are performed by apprentices as mandated by MSB regulations.
