SEF2447 Contract for Loader Mounted Snow Blowers for Rural Airports

Background
The Department of Transportation & Public Facilities, HQ State Equipment Fleet, is soliciting a contract for the purchase of Loader Mounted Snow Blowers intended for use at rural airports in Alaska.
This initiative aims to enhance snow removal capabilities at these airports, ensuring safe and efficient operations during winter months.

Work Details
The contract involves the procurement of five (5) Loader Mounted Snow Blowers in the first year, with quantities for subsequent renewals based on available funding.
The snow blowers must be capable of integrating with State-owned rubber-tired front end wheel loaders, specifically CAT 950M models or similar equipped with a WELDCO-BEALES WLKAT quick attach system or equivalent.
The specifications require that the snow blowers be new, of the latest model, and meet all current federal and state regulations including EPA emissions standards.
The equipment must have a minimum capacity of 1,700 tons per hour and be constructed from current production components rated for maximum loading in severe service conditions.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is one year with four optional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
The equipment will be delivered to various rural airports across the state of Alaska.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold a valid Alaska business license at the time of bid opening.
They are required to provide proof of insurance covering workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and commercial automobile liability.
Additionally, bidders must certify compliance with Buy American Preferences and other federal regulations regarding nondiscrimination and environmental standards.
