Request for Proposals (RFP 2026-1000-0170 Online Reservation System for Alaska State Parks

Background
The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation, is seeking a qualified contractor to provide an online reservation system for Alaska State Parks at no cost to the State of Alaska. The goal is to facilitate reservations for various facilities including 96 public use cabins, 47 pavilions, 10 seasonal ice huts, and portions of campsites from 76 campgrounds managed by Alaska State Parks.

This initiative aims to enhance the user experience and streamline the reservation process as the demand for these facilities has grown significantly over the years.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing a comprehensive online reservation system that includes:
1. A Software as a Service (SaaS) solution hosted and supported by the contractor.
2. Compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) Level 1.
3. Comprehensive booking and reporting solutions including daily activity reports, revenue reports, occupancy reports, and user tracking capabilities.
4. A mobile-responsive web portal for advanced reservations with features such as group campsite reservations, picnic pavilion bookings, and customizable confirmation letters.
5. Technical support services accessible via a toll-free number.
6. The ability to transfer collected reservation fees electronically to the State's account on a daily or weekly basis.
7. The contract may be expanded at the State's discretion to include additional campgrounds or services.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will last approximately five years with one five-year renewal option at the State’s discretion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the contractor's location of business; travel to Alaska is not required.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must demonstrate a minimum of three consecutive years of experience providing similar online reservation systems for government-managed parks or recreation sites. Additionally, offerors must be enrolled in the State of Alaska’s Integrated Resource Information System (IRIS) prior to contract award.
