Request for Proposal for Economic Development Consulting Services

Background
The City of Nome, located on the shores of the Bering Sea in Alaska, is seeking proposals for economic development consulting services.
As the largest municipality on the Seward Peninsula, Nome operates under a Council/City Manager form of government and aims to develop and implement an economic development strategy.
The successful proposer will collaborate closely with the assistant city manager and the City Council to create a comprehensive economic development plan.

Work Details
The consultant will assist in developing an economic development strategy over a six-month period.
Responsibilities include advising and guiding the assistant city manager in completing and implementing the plan.
Proposers should have experience with economic development initiatives for small to mid-size municipalities, particularly in Alaska.
Required proposal components include:
- A brief history of experience
- A list of similar work conducted in the last six years with references
- A description of proposed services and approach
- A fee structure including reimbursable expenses.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a six-month period following the award of the contract.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Nome, Alaska.
