Nesbett Courthouse Spectator Seating Upgrades

Background
The Alaska Court System (ACS) is seeking bids for the Nesbett Courthouse Spectator Seating Upgrades project. This project involves the demolition and replacement of existing spectator seating benches in all 23 courtrooms located in Anchorage, Alaska. The goal is to enhance the courtroom experience by providing new seating that meets modern standards and preferences.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Demolition of existing spectator seating benches in all 23 courtrooms.
- Installation of new benches based on selected finishes as outlined in the attached Invitation to Bid (ITB).
- Development of a phasing plan for the removal and installation of benches while courtrooms are in use.
- Provision of a floor schedule and room-by-room schedule for approval.
- Furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and other resources required to complete the work as specified.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon receipt of a written 'Notice to Proceed' from the Owner. It must be completed within the timeframe specified in the Supplemental Conditions.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Nesbett Courthouse located at 825 W. 4th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific requirements including:
- A valid Alaska Business License Number or a photocopy of an application for one.
- A Contractor Registration Number under AS.08.18.
- Bid Security in accordance with Section 00100 if the total bid exceeds $100,000.
- Compliance with Alaska's Little Davis Bacon Act regarding wage rates and labor standards.
- Proof of insurance as detailed in Section 00700.
