Background
The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Division of Facilities Services, is soliciting bids for Security Services for the Fairbanks Regional Office Building located at 675 7th Ave., Fairbanks, Alaska. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and security of state employees and property within the building.
Work Details
The contractor will provide uniformed, unarmed security officers who will patrol public areas in and around the Fairbanks Regional Office Building to maintain peace, order, and enforce parking regulations. Responsibilities include:
- Continuous patrols of public areas and enforcement of parking rules.
- Daily supervision and scheduling of security officers.
- Provision of outfitted uniforms and necessary communication equipment.
- Responding to public inquiries and assisting as needed.
- Conducting emergency evacuation duties in coordination with designated personnel.
- Monitoring surveillance cameras and reporting suspicious activities.
- Completing daily security reports and incident reports within 24 hours.
Additional requirements include ensuring all guards are licensed per Alaska Administrative Code, trained adequately, and maintaining a neat appearance.
Period of Performance
The contract term is from approximately April 14, 2025 through March 31, 2027, with options to renew for two additional two-year terms at the state's discretion.

The services will be performed at the Fairbanks Regional Office Building located at 675 7th Ave., Fairbanks, Alaska.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a valid Alaska business license or obtain one prior to contract award. They must comply with various legal requirements including the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964, Equal Employment Opportunity Act, Americans with Disabilities Act. Bids must remain valid for at least 90 days. Additionally, bidders must ensure that all personnel performing under this contract meet training, experience, bonding, and licensing requirements as specified in the ITB.
