ITB 2026-2000-0016 Courier Services

Background
The Department of Corrections, Division of Administrative Services, is soliciting bids for Courier Services in the Anchorage Bowl Area, Eagle River, AK, and Palmer, AK. The contract aims to provide reliable courier services for the transportation of documents and materials within these regions.
The estimated budget for this contract is between $60,000.00 and $70,000.00 annually.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing courier services that include:
1. Daily courier service Monday through Friday within the Anchorage Bowl and Eagle River, AK, excluding 12 State holidays.
2. Transporting items securely from designated pick-up locations directly to drop-off locations without leaving items in vehicles overnight.
3. Providing their own hand cart capable of carrying a minimum of 100 lbs.
4. Maintaining a dedicated central dispatch number available Monday through Friday and weekends between 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
5. Ensuring all couriers carry company-provided photo identification and maintain professional attire.
6. Completing background checks for all couriers prior to service commencement.
7. Providing a current roster of employees who may work under this contract.
8. Following specific delivery routes and schedules as outlined in the solicitation document.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence approximately on July 1, 2025, and will run through June 30, 2026, with optional renewals up to June 30, 2030.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in the Anchorage Bowl Area, Eagle River, AK, and Palmer, AK.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a valid Alaska business license or obtain one prior to contract award. They must also provide three professional references within the United States that can be verified by the department.
Bidders must comply with various state laws including the Americans with Disabilities Act and must submit their bids under the name appearing on their current Alaska business license.
