2025-1100-0186- ADF&G Statewide Gillnets

Background
The State of Alaska, through the Department of Fish and Game, is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2025-1100-0186 to establish a multiyear agreement with a vendor for annual gillnet orders.
This contract aims to support the state's fisheries management efforts by ensuring the availability of necessary gillnets for various species.

Work Details
The contract includes the provision of various types of gillnets, specifically:
1. Taku (Chinook) drift gillnets: 15 units per year, specifications include Miracle (Thia Nylon) multi-monofilament, #1.5 x 14 strands, 7 ¼” mesh X 29 meshes deep X 60 fathoms long, color D/K R44; additional components include cork-line and lead-line specifications.
2. Taku (coho) set gillnets: 2 units per year with similar material specifications as above but adjusted for coho fishing needs.
3. Alsek (Chinook) set gillnets: 6 units per year with specified materials and construction details.
4. Alsek (sockeye) set gillnets: also 6 units per year with specific mesh and material requirements.
5. Stikine (Chinook) drift gillnets: 18 units per year with detailed construction requirements including web depth and spacing of corks.
6. Stikine (sockeye) drift gillnets: 24 units per year with specific mesh size and depth requirements.
7. Stikine (coho) drift gillnets: 18 units per year with specified construction details similar to other Stikine nets.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a period of three years, with three optional one-year renewals available at the discretion of the state.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within the State of Alaska, with all shipping costs included in the bid price.
