SC State Board For Technical And Comprehensive Education has received a grant to integrate Registered Apprenticeship into the mainstream as a viable career pathway option. This grant funding will support efforts to build the strongest, most adaptable, and most credentialed workforce in the country. The work to be performed includes expanding the number of apprentices and registered apprenticeship programs nationwide, targeting both traditional and non-traditional industries such as information technology, healthcare, and cybersecurity. Additionally, the grant aims to ensure that registered apprenticeship opportunities reach underrepresented populations including youth, women, minorities, U.S. Veterans, transitioning service members, and persons with disabilities.
