Indian Education Formula Grants to LEAs

Guilford County Board Of Education has received a grant to address the unique educational and culturally related academic needs of Indian students, enabling them to meet the challenging state performance standards expected of all students. The grant also aims to ensure that Indian students gain knowledge and understanding of Native communities, languages, Tribal histories, traditions, and cultures. Additionally, it supports teachers, principals, school leaders, and other staff who serve Indian students to provide culturally appropriate and effective instruction. This program serves as the Department's principal vehicle for addressing the particular needs of Indian children.
