Head Start Program Grant for Early Childhood Development

Jasper County Board Of Education has received a grant to support the Head Start program, which aims to promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of low-income children, including those on federally recognized reservations and children of migratory farm workers. The grant will fund the provision of comprehensive health, educational, nutritional, social, and other services. It also focuses on involving parents in their children's learning and helping parents make progress toward their educational, literacy, and employment goals. Early Head Start programming under this grant will support the development of infants and toddlers by providing safe and developmentally enriching caregiving, preparing children for continued growth and success in school and life. Additionally, the grant supports a three-tier training and technical assistance system at national, regional, and local levels to expand staff qualifications, improve management systems, and enhance learning environments.
