VetJet Fuels Wins $11 Million DLA Contract for Alaska Fuel Supply

VetJet Fuels LLC of Dallas has received a Defense Logistics Agency Energy contract to supply FS1 burner fuel oil, DS1 diesel fuel and MUR automotive gasoline to Army, Air Force and federal civilian customers in Alaska. The fixed-price contract, which includes economic price adjustments, has a minimum value of $10.7 million. Performance is scheduled for completion by March 31, 2031.

Alaska Fuel Supply Details

VetJet will furnish three fuels serving different needs: burner fuel oil, diesel and automotive gasoline. DLA’s product-code standard identifies DS1 as ultra-low-sulfur Grade 1-D diesel and MUR as regular unleaded gasoline. Deliveries under the award will take place in Alaska for military and civilian federal customers.

The work falls within a large and geographically dispersed regional energy mission. According to DLA’s Americas regional overview, DLA Energy Americas North supports 83 federal sites and five Defense Department main operating bases across Alaska. DLA puts annual deliveries across that broader mission at about 101 million gallons of fuel; the figure is regional scale, rather than a volume assigned to VetJet’s contract.

Award and Contractor Background

DLA Energy received 11 responses in the competition. The agency awarded VetJet a fixed-price contract with economic price adjustments, a structure that accounts for fuel-price changes during performance.

VetJet has also supplied DLA Energy under smaller fuel orders. A diesel order valued at $106,400 had a performance end date in February 2026, while an automotive gasoline order valued at $40,428 had a performance end date in June 2026. Those orders establish prior work with the agency in two of the fuel categories covered by the new award.

This award was disclosed by the DoW in its daily press release. Additional contract details will be available on HigherGov in approximately 90 days under SPE60526D1005 after the contract is formally disclosed by the government.
